Yukihiro Takahashi - WHAT, ME WORRY? LP

Regular price $45.99

WHAT, ME WORRY? comes to us from Great Tracks/Sony Japan, as part of their Yukahiro Takahashi reissues.  It is his fourth solo LP, originally released in 1982 on the YEN label that he had launched along with Haruomi Hosono and Alfa Records.  As with his other early-80's/YMO-period LPs, he enlists Hosono and Ryuichi Sakamoto to join him on this LP. He also calls on Kenji Omura, Hiroshi Sato, Bil Nelso, Zaine Griff, and Tony Mansfield, to help craft his unique sound.  As with other solo LPs, Takahashi includes a cover, The Beatles' It's All Too Much (from their Yellow Submarine LP).  Speeding up the tempo, Takahashi transforms the psychedelic track into a more tradition pop song; but doesn't lose track of what makes the original great either.  This is another classic LP from Takahashi that belongs in your collection.
