This LP captures an August 2018 concert performed by Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Toop. This was their first ever collaboration, bringing together Sakamoto's piano skills with Toop's pedal steel. It results in a soundscape that expands before the listener. This work often revels in the quiet moments, but also gets very loud at times.
If you only know Sakamoto from YMO, this isn't the best place to start with his solo work. However, if you're a fan of his later soundtracks and ambient works, this is a wonderful addition to your collection.
