Bowie's Station to Station LP is a miracle of an LP.  It sprang forth from Bowie while living in Los Angeles and heavily into substances.  He claimed to not remember making many parts of it.  Yet it is a great LP.  That's what happens when you're David Bowie, even your lows are highs.

The album starts with the slow build of it's title track, Station to Station, and announces the return of the Thin White Duke, throwing darts in lover's eyes.  Bowie then declares that its not the side effects of the cocaine, so he's thinking it must be love.   This is some peak, uncompromising, take it or leave it Bowie here.

Golden Years is probably the best known track from the LP, and one of his best known singles too.  The entire LP is great though.  For example Word on a Wing is a wonderfully big ballad.  TVC 15, a song about a girl falling in love with her TV set, is strong enough to transcend the concept.

This pressing is 180G vinyl and comes from Parlophone records in the UK.
