Makoto Kawashima - Homo Sacer LP

Black Editions delivers the first-ever vinyl edition of Homo Sacer, Japanese saxophonist Makoto Kawashima’s debut album and the final release by the legendary P.S.F. Records.  It comes housed in a heavy tip-on jacket featuring metallic printing and gloss film-laminate finish.  It was pressed on high quality vinyl at RTI;  with a digital download card included. 

This served as the coming out party for Kawashima, who had only played the saxophone just over 10 years.  He introduced his original improvisation style that is considered haunting and impassioned.  While this isn't the regular jazz grooves that we normally stock here, this LP is definitely an interesting and worthwhile listen for jazz fans everywhere. 

Homo Sacer, or Sacred Human, is a hard to find, but worthwhile addition to your jazz collection.
