Ennio Morricone - Il Prigioniero Soundtrack LP

While we haven't watched the 1978 Italian TV movie Il Prigioniero, we're really glad it got such a wonderful treatment from Ennio Morricone.  This LP comes from the Italian label Digitmovies in an extremely short pressing of 300. 

Il Prigioniero is yet another example of Morricone's mastery of the film score.  The music is serious to match the (apparently) serious subject matter on screen.  In addition to a wonderful theme that sets the serious tone, there are tracks that can appear as a surprise.  For example, Si L'ammuri is a traditional Sicilian folk song used to set the tone for the time of the film. 

As we mentioned before, this is a 300 LP pressing.  And most of this LP isn't even on YouTube; nevermind streaming.  Move fast while you have the opportunity.  This isn't going to be around long!
