Ennio Morricone featuring Joan Baez - Sacco & Vanzetti Soundtrack LP

Morricone's soundtrack to the film Sacco and Vanzetti is perhaps one of his most classical sounding soundtracks, yet it also includes Joan Baez singing Here's To You and La Ballata Di Sacco E Vanzetti.  This soundtrack is brought to us by the Italian label Goodfellas. 

Sacco & Vanzetti was an Italian-French production that was shot in Ireland.  While it may not be as well known as other films that Morricone wrote the score for, no less than Roger Ebert declared it one of the best films of 1971.  We're guessing the film's left wing politics turned off some US audiences and in turn lessened the film's legacy.  Regardless of your politics, Morricone's score is still a wonderful listen and addition to your collection.
