He started designing advertisements around 1971 and made his debut as an illustrator in 1980 after working as a designer/art director. He is not only an illustrator/printmaker, but his activities are wide-ranging. He lives in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture (this data was published at the time this book was published)
